I have reverted to Catalina and VMWare 11 and everything works as expected. I am operating the network interface in bridged mode. I also have 3 other VMs that will connect to the internet but will not talk to the MS update server, my email client in any browser (Chrome/Firefox/Edge) and the Barracuda VPN will not initialize. All VMs are various builds of Windows 10 Pro (18 I believe). As a result this VM will not connect to the internet. However this only occurs on 1 of the VMs. Selvanm30, here's what I found out after working with VMware support on several calls, and lots of debugging.I have exactly the same problem on the released build of Big Sur (11.0.1) and VMWare 12.0.0.
I did remind VMware support that this is probably because the overwhelming majority of VMware Fusion users do not have a paid support contract, and of those that do, there are probably very few who have this specific combination of gear. VMware support says that hopefully sometime in the future this issue will get fixed, but it's not a high priority because I'm the only person who has reported it. If I plan to use MS Teams on the VM again, I need to change the MAC sound settings back to the Jabra Engage 75 headset. When I want to use the external Jabra 710 Speaker for MAC audio, I need to go to the MAC Sound settings, and change the Output/Input settings to point to the Jabra 710 External Speaker. With the above configuration, I can make MS teams without issues.
On the VM, set the Sound Card settings for both the Output, and Input Device to "System Default"
On the MAC, set the input and output sound settings to the Jabra Engage 75 headset.ģ. We could duplicate the issue on demand, but unable to determine the root cause, but we do have a workaround.ġ.
